Multiguard In-depth Type A (MITA) is a state-of-the-art, premium-grade crystalline waterproofing admixture designed to waterproof and protect concrete from water penetration through pores and capillaries. As the most chemically active of Hydronil’s therapies, MITA is specifically developed as a surface-applied treatment that penetrates fresh or existing concrete to provide a permanent in-depth waterproofing solution. It can withstand more than 550 ft of water head from both the negative and positive sides of treatment.

MITA-B

Multiguard In-depth Type B (MITB) is chemically similar to MITA only less potent and is purposely designed to be a surface applied treatment that penetrates into concrete for an in-depth waterproofing solution. It is used as a crystalline waterproofing product where hydrostatic pressure is minor or not relevant. MITB also makes a cost effective alternative as a second coat for MITA. Hydronil’s MITB works within the concrete’s substrate to react with un-hydrated cement particles and water to grow crystals within the concrete mass.

MITC Type D

Multiguard In-depth Type D (MITD) is a state-of-the-art, single-component, penetrating cementitious waterproofing material designed to protect new or existing structurally sound concrete and masonry from water and waterborne chemical penetration. Chemically similar to Type B but less potent, it is ideal for areas with low to moderate hydrostatic pressure and can serve as a cost-effective second coat to Multiguard In-Depth Type B. This grey

y or white crystalline formulation penetrates deep into the concrete, reacting with unhydrated cement particles and moisture to form permanent crystals within the concrete matrix, effectively sealing it from within. Once applied—either from the positive or negative side onto a damp substrate—it remains permanently active, requires only a one-time application for the life of the structure, and is approved for use with potable water. Its user-friendly, easy-to-apply nature makes it an efficient and durable waterproofing solution.

Multiguard Primemix

Multiguard In-depth Primemix (MIP) is designed to be added directly into green/fresh concrete, either at the batch plant or directly into ready-mix trucks on-site. It is based on the same MICT technology, providing effective integral crystalline waterproofing that enhances concrete by preventing water ingress and reducing shrinkage cracks. This offers a cost-effective alternative to membrane systems while increasing concrete’s durability. MIP continuously prevents moisture from penetrating the concrete by creating a catalytic chemical reaction within the pores and capillaries, enhancing the hydration process of the cement component.

MITC TYPE -C

Multiguard In-Depth Type C (MITC) is a concrete waterproofing additive designed to enhance durability and reduce shrinkage cracks, offering a cost-effective alternative to traditional membrane systems. Easily added at the batch plant or directly into ready-mix trucks, MITC penetrates deep into the concrete and initiates a chemical reaction within the pores and capillaries. This reaction enhances the hydration of cement components, promoting the growth of additional calcium silicate hydrate (CSH) crystals, which significantly reduce concrete permeability. The advanced hydration process also enables the concrete to self-heal microcracks in the presence of moisture, ensuring long-term protection against water ingress.

Hydronil®’s MICT Joint Design and Crack Repair Systems utilize a combination of Multiguard In-depth Crystalline Technology (MICT) and crystalline waterproofing systems to create an effective and permanent solution to water penetration through non-moving joints and non-moving cracks.

Multiguard In-Depth Mortar

Multiguard In-depth Mortar (MIM) is designed to be added directly into green/fresh concrete, either at the batch plant or directly into ready-mix trucks. MIM is a fast-setting, very dense cementitious non-shrink grout for repairing joints and cracks. It is based on MICT technology and formulated with advanced crystalline waterproofing chemicals to offer long-term protection to the substrate on-site. Utilizing the same MICT technology, it enhances concrete by effectively waterproofing it and reducing shrinkage cracks. This provides a cost-effective alternative to membrane systems while increasing concrete’s durability. MIM continuously prevents moisture from penetrating through the concrete by creating a catalytic chemical reaction within the pores and capillaries, enhancing the hydration process of the cement component.

Hydronil®’s PlugFast is a dark brown, non-shrinking grout formulated to immediately stop flowing water through concrete cracks and holes within seconds. Using an advanced formulation based on the MICT crystalline waterproofing system, PlugFast hardens in excess of the concrete into which it has been placed, ensuring that your repairs stay in place. PlugFast is particularly effective on concrete surfaces with flowing water, providing reliable crystalline waterproofing even under challenging conditions.
