Multiguard In-depth Type B (MITB)

MITB is chemically similar to MITA only less potent and is purposely designed to be a surface applied treatment that penetrates into concrete for an in-depth waterproofing solution. It is used as a waterproofing product where hydrostatic pressure is minor or not relevant. MITB also makes a cost effective alternative as a second coat for MITA. MITB works within the concrete’s substrate to react with un-hydrated cement particles and water to grow crystals within the concrete mass. In doing so it will make the concrete permanently waterproof. MITB is applied as a brush on slurry or may be applied as a dry shake. .

  • MITB is a one time only application for the life of the concrete
  • Product is user friendly and easy to apply
  • MITB treatment is permanent for the life of the concrete
  • It is applied from either the positive or negative side
  • MITB is chemically less concentrated than MITA for lower demand applications
  • MITB will autogenously repair concrete
  • It will reactivate the waterproofing mechanism should water be present in the future
  • MITB will increase the durability of the concrete
  • Structures are protected against cracking and spalling by using MITB
  • MITB will stop water penetration into the concrete
  • The product will provide the best quality to cost ratio in the industry
  • It eliminates the need for any other waterproofing system
  • MITB will protect reinforcing steel against chemical attack
  • MITB will protect against deterioration of the concrete due to waterborne chemical attack
  • MITB will protect against deterioration of the concrete due to AAR/ ASR
  • MITB will protect against deterioration of the concrete due to cast in contaminants
  • MITB will protect against deterioration of the concrete due to carbonization
  • MITB will protect against heavy hydrostatic pressure
  • MITB will protect against water penetration through micro-cracks by autogenously healing all future micro-cracking
  • MITB will protect against deterioration due to freeze/ thaw environment
